David has had a passion for working with youth and serving others his entire life. While in high school, he worked at a daycare helping with children of all ages. Upon graduating, he served in the U.S. Army for over 20 years. When he retired, he wanted to continue working with children and giving back to the community, so he taught elementary school for a few years before joining the Friends of the Children team in Colorado Springs.
In his spare time, David loves spending time with his wife, four children, and their many pets. His preferred place is spending time anywhere involving nature and getting in a good workout. He loves to eat, and is also very adventurous when planning activities and trying new things. David is so enthused about working with Friends of the Children and building lifelong relationships with the children and their families.
