Sarah Reynolds

Friend (Professional Mentor)

Sarah Reynolds was born and raised in the Southwest of England. She earned her Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Psychology and Sociology at Wolverhampton Polytechnic and her teaching credential from the University of Leeds, both in the UK.

After graduation, her desire to explore the world and other cultures led to a one-way ticket to Southeast Asia where she ended up living and working on the island nation of Singapore, teaching ESL to Singaporean children and tutoring Indonesian children in her spare time.

While in Singapore, she met her future husband, a U.S. Naval Officer, and eventually moved to the U.S. after they married in England. For the next seventeen years, they moved around the U.S. and the UK for 3 years. During that time, she worked with under-served youth in Nevada, taught in Washington state public schools and most recently Sarah has been tutoring youth with challenges throughout Colorado Springs.

Sarah is a mom to 4 amazing humans - 3 sons and a daughter, one of whom was adopted from China. With the 3 eldest now grown and flown, and the youngest in high school, family time consists of hiking, skiing, exploring state parks, and international travel whenever possible. Sarah has a passion for helping youth and families, coming alongside them to help them reach their potential. She is thrilled to join the team at Friends of the Children and be a part of a caring organization that has proven results in the lives of at-promise youth.
